Graphics and video have increased impact under almost any lighting conditions and the non-glare and low reflective surface resists ambient light washout. Its lightweight structure means Vikuiti Rear Projection Screens are ideal for free-standing or suspended installations.
It is a flexible, self-adhesive film that can be applied to windows or transparent partitions. This film provides crisp, brilliant images at any viewing angle and even in high ambient light conditions. Vikuiti™ rear projection film can be easily cut to shape and size. It is fast and easy to remove (not reusable), and can be integrated with other window graphics – large format printed graphics.
Vikuiti™ rear projection displays can be cleaned with a solution of mild soap or detergent and lukewarm water. Use a clean soft cloth, applying only light pressure. Rinse with clean water and dry by blotting with a damp cloth or chamois. The Anti-Reflection coating of the Vikuiti rear projection screens can be cleaned using commercially available window cleaning sprays using a soft, clean cloth. (Window cleaning sprays should not be used to clean the beaded side of the projection screen. Use only mild soap and water). DO NOT USE window cleaning sprays, kitchen scouring compounds or solvents such as acetone, gasoline, benzene, alcohol, carbon tetrachloride or lacquer thinner. These can scratch/deteriorate the screen surface.
There are no limitations to the minimum size of the display screen. However, the size of the display panel is influenced by the minimum projection throwing distance and other projector specification factors.

In 2007, 3M commissioned a survey with POPAI (Point of Purchase Advertising International) to discover just how effective this type of promotional activity can be. 4 branches of Intersport and T-Mobile were each equipped with a Vikuiti™ rear projection system projecting dynamic content for the sport and mobile phone markets respectively.
On average over 10% of pedestrians looked at the display and at least 1% stopped to look at the content. With the numbers of passers-by totaling approximately 100000 per week per store this represents a significant amount of traffic.
There was also a strong opinion, over 85% of those interviewed, said that the screens enhanced the mood in the shop window and made the stores appear more innovative.
