Hard disk drive performance, reliability and longevity are not only critical but expected by your customers. Stray particles generated during manufacturing can ruin the drive, the electronic device it's in and your reputation. These particles are often difficult to remove by standard cleaning processes.

3M™ Novec™ Electronic Grade Coating for hard disk drives entrap particles and maximize your protection for optimizing disk drive performance. It is designed for particle suppression and can significantly reduce the particles shed from substrates inside the hard drive. It can be used to replace electroless nickel and e-coats, filling in rough features on substrates.

It is a low surface tension solution that is fast drying, and easy-to-apply. It dries to a permanent film that covalently bonds to glass and metal oxides. It needs to be thermally cured to optimize performance.
